At P4P, we are dedicated to helping families fulfill their dreams of adoption. Currently, we are featuring 2 incredible families who are on the journey to bringing a child into their home. These families are filled with love and commitment, and we aim to support them by raising funds to make the adoption process more accessible. By highlighting their stories, we invite you to share in their joy and help make a difference in the lives of children waiting for a forever family. Your generosity and support can change their lives for the better!
We have always had a desire in our hearts to have a family of our own one day. After trying to get pregnant and walking an infertility journey, we really felt the Lord calling us away from more fertility treatments and calling us to the adoption process.
“Although the journey has not always been easy, we feel He has confirmed this journey with us multiple times and has given us such peace and excitement over our adoption journey.”
We were reminded of the verse in Ephesians as this journey has unfolded that God loved us, chose us, and adopted us to be a part of His family. What an hour and joy we have ahead of us to bring our baby home and show them the love He has shown us."
Hello! We are Darius and Kayla Pollard. Adoption is something we discussed early on in our relationship, even before we were married! We both felt that God had put adoption on our hearts and thought we would have one or two biological children and then adopt. We were planning to begin trying to have a baby in September 2023, but we discovered around the same time that we carry a gene mutation for a rare and difficult disease that we have a high probability of passing down to our biological children. This news was heartbreaking and we were faced with the tough decision of whether to pursue having biological children or not.
“Through much prayer as well as support and counsel from our close family, friends, and church community, we were able to process through the grief and ultimately felt that this was God pointing us towards adoption to begin our family. We know that God has a plan for us that is greater than any plan we could make for ourselves.”
We came to rest in the fact that, biological or adopted, we would love our children just the same and our job as parents is to provide a loving, safe home where we can point our children towards God, the perfect loving Father to whom they ultimately belong. We feel blessed to get to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, something that is such a beautiful picture of what God has done for us as His children. We are so excited to be on this adoption journey and can't wait to see what God has in store for us.
